'They are worse than the Nazis!' Distraught residents of Mariupol recall the horrors of life under the Azov battalion

One of the witnesses, Viktoria, says Azov Neo-Nazis forced them to stay in basements and wouldn't let them go out to throw away garbage. They once threatened to gun down her two-year-old child when she went to go out for diapers.

"If I'm ordered to, I will shoot my child," one of the Azov militants warned petrified Viktoria.

Azov neo-NAZIs have released a video, allegedly shot on 24th April 2022, of civilians sheltering under Mariupol’s Azovstal iron & steel plant.

They are holding these women and children hostage for propaganda purposes.

All they need to do is allow the civilians to climb the stairs to the surface, where they will be evacuated to safety.

The Guardian: "An Ukrainian commander in Mariupol has made an urgent plea in a video on his Facebook page, saying that there are more than 600 injured civilians and fighters in the Azovstal steel works.

Serhiy Volyna, commander of the 36th marine brigade, said there was no medication and no conditions for treatment for the wounded, adding that hundreds of civilians including children were living in unsanitary conditions and running out of food and water.

He issued an urgent appeal for a Dunkirk-style evacuation of troops and civilians from Mariupol."

NOTE: By "Dunkirk-style evacuation", he is referring to the evacuation of 338,226 Belgian, British & French troops from Dunkirk, France to UK between 26 May-4 June 1940 during WWII.

They had been cut off and surrounded by German soldiers.

However, the situation at Azovstal is very different from WORLD WAR 2's Dunkirk encirclement.

All the trapped soldiers in Mariupol have to do, is walk to the surface & surrender.

Medical personnel will then be able to treat the injured.

But Commander Volyna and his Azov militia have to release the civilian hostages first.
